That Looks a hell of a lot better. Nice job on the chassis. As much as I love cubic inches, I really think the 340 looks good in there. Nice job on the engine bay too. Thanks Al. It had to be a small block. Just not enough car and too tame of a setup for the big motor. I wanted it but I would have had to relocate the springs, mini tub, add bigger and wider tires, lower the front end, and have to add caltracs and other chassis items to make it right. This one is a mild street machine. The 340 fit the overall build better.

Thanks. Its like a said before. A Bodies just do not have wheel tubs under the hood. I did the same conversion to a 69 Barracuda. I figured it might work on a 63 Valiant. It was a lot more work with the cutting, shaping, and getting the chassis to fit right. The chassis plate is sized right now. Just a little putty on the seam, little more rounding off corners and suspension tweaking and I think this one is ready to paint and detail.

I agree that chassis is perfect for it. Dam I wish I could find one of these Valiants Thanks. These are out there. Just keep your eyes out for this in a promo. I do have another 63 on the shelf but that remains a promo. Only reason this one was built up this way is because I bought it with the hood cut open. It kind of sealed it's fate on building it.

That 340 looks like it was made for that car. I too wish I could find one. A bodies are always hard to find especially the older ones. The only ones available now are the 76 dart sport and the 71 Duster if you can find one. Oh and the Revell 68 69 dart swinger.

Don't be afraid to take a road trip if its a distance. I have about a 250 mile radius I cover pending the weather.
