Hey... you know those carbs....
Oh c'mon guys, someone had to do it. Looks great. Did you get the conversion from Harts parts? The build looks great. Here is what I think is odd. As good as you are in scratch building, you used a resin chassis. Can't wait to see more cuda come out of the Stevens garage.

Love it ! I was over the pond to Florida on holiday 2012 , (Toxic Orange Pearl Challenger hire car for my 40th YAY! 'fank u mummy' !) Unsurprisingly we went to the Gatornats (& Big Daddys Museum & kissimee old town , Orlando Raceway ......) I got bored with the 3.7sec.ET adverts so had a stroll around the pits .. Guess what was there ? I've still got gravel rash on my chin. LOL . Had a chat to Bucky about my dads South African built RHD barracuda's & he "loved my 'cockney' accent." I a'int a bloomin Lun dan aa Got lots of photos . and sunburn .JOY !

Excellent work Wayne! I have a few questions about the top end of the engine like your sources for the intake manifold and valve covers and distributor. I would also like to know where to find the conversion kit for the body and for the chassis. I would like to do a couple of the modern Darts too.

I know you can get the 68 conversion from here... hartspartsresin.com/really nice...SOMEONE has mine. he was gonna make copies of it for me …. he hasn't been here in a while. I also know that this guy, Manny... www.vcgresins.com/had a pro style intake, haven't looked lately. he also has quality stuff. both guys very reliable. didn't mean to step in, but if Wayne got his stuff from another vendor, well then we have a 3rd vendor to go to.

Thanks, Al, maybe your not as bad as I make you out to be, LOL! I have an order in with Hart's Parts now and will check out the other site. I have found a number of APJ Hemi's on Shape Way's, but I'm not sure they are correct.

I would also like to know where to find the conversion kit for the body and for the chassis. I would like to do a couple of the modern Darts too. Thanks for the compliments. The conversion kit did come from Harts Parts. Great stuff. The primary engine is a Ross Gibson modern Pro Stock engine kit that provided the block, heads, valve covers and front engine unit with the crank driven distributor. The intake is kitbashed from some parts box pieces. The carbs are not accurate for this real life application but they were the only thing that I had at the time that came close. Since this build I have discovered Fireball Modelworks that creates the best carbs to be used on these engine combinations. I have since loaded up on them and will be using them on future builds, which I have a bunch planned.

Yeah, I love the Fireball stuff! A guy could spend an entire day detail painting just one of his carbs because the detail is that good.
