boy, this is close to last month, besides the use of external stuff outside the model box container. remember, this does include turbine cars, vans, trucks, factory race (68 hemi darts, cudas. 67 hemi coronets and GTX's and the AFX cars). post them up. remember, next month is ragtops, so if you have a convertible your thinking about posting, if you have something else, you may want to save the convertible for next month.

I have had a good reaction to my '59 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer over the years.
Still one of my favorites.

both entries are killer builds. the problem is the word "both". I know all you guys build stock. we need some more entries. so, I we get 4 more entries, I will enter this month. I know, don't pass out on me. yes I have completed builds, yes I have a stock build. it looks like crap and really isn't finished, but its close enough. so get those builds in!! yes, its totally OK if you don't either.
also, a side note, start thinking about next year. do we ant to keep this going? do we want something else? random build offs, same kit build offs whatever we want to do, start thinking about it. I may make a thread on the next years activities.

I sure hope we are not heading for the usual argument about what the meaning of " factory stock" is.
I've seen this discussion go on and on, on some of the other forums.

naa, I don't so. I understand exactly what you mean. I think he was just asking from a model aspect, can we use other part not from the box.

I don't mean to imply that it was anyone's intention, but I've seen these discussions numerous times where someone will come along and say, "Well it only has an Edelbrock intake, a Holley carb, some headers and custom wheels. Other than that, it's stock".

If the question is about my question, let me clarify again.
I was trying to find out if we can enter factory stock vehicles that we have added aftermarket model parts, doodads, or other details to. Sounds like we can.
Factory stock is very different than a box stock model.

Have we seen that build before, Wayne? I keep thinking I've seen it but can't seem to find it on this forum or one other. Either way, it's a sharp looking build.
The other two entries so far are equally sharp. You guys make it really hard to decide which to vote on. There is absolutely NO lack of spectacular modeling skills on this forum. Pound for pound, this forum has as great a gathering of skilled builders as any other place on the 'Net. NEVER a lack of mind-boggling detail conscience building going on.
👍👍 to all you guys!

Factory stock is very different than a box stock model. yes, agree 100%, that is what I thought. and for anyone, thinking that even changing tires and slapping some cragars on a car is keeping it factory stock, send them over to me. I will straighten their asses out. "factory stock" means just that, all parts factory installed. we do have a discussion every once in a while, maybe I will post that up in a new thread and see what you guys think.

70 T/A Challenger nice Wayne. first off, its weird to see your name tagged on a stock vehicle. second, I have tried to build this and the 71 cuds, and they look certainly NOT like that. great job. I still believe it all has to do with paint. you get a build that looks like painted plastic, or you get a paint job that makes it look believable. yours looks believable.
