** This photo of a mint condition boxed one is off of the internet , mine "was "... the same colour .... well , most of it ... Its a toy that was shall we say "well used " oh + two tyres were missing , & the glass had a blob on the front screen . A while ago I was out & about , not particularly looking for yet another project ... it was in a box on the floor in a toy shop near my place . I got it as I liked the style , I have just done some research on " Monteverdi 375s cars " Well knock me down with a feather ! .... its 375 as that's the HP for the 440 magnum motor jammed in the front ! I knew about Facel Vegas & Jensen Interceptors with 383's & 440's .... Apparently Monteverdi are from Basel , Switzerland , well worth looking up Whilst looking into the 375 , I found this pretty mid engined sporty little thing too . Its called a 450 Hai SS ( Hai being German for shark - so , not Japanese for yes?? !) I'll pop up a couple of photos .... Yes , a mid mounted 1970 426 Hemi right between the passenger & driver ! ( Its got a ZF 5 speed transaxle ) 0- 60 4.9 , 180 mph top . Designed by Trevor Fiore something to do with the very similar Alpine A310 . . . I want one !

DOH ! I forgot to mention , mine has been thrown into the paint stripper after careful deconstructing & storing the parts , I'd like to do it dark red again but I'm open to suggestions ! , with detailed tan interior
* I have a set of large diameter "split 5's" type wheels & tyres I'd like to put on it , but the width of the inner arches & chassis will need some chopping about .
I might stay traditional & put "laced" ones or racy 5 spokes with proper fat sidewall "old school" tyres .
I very much doubt it though

Cool project you have going. That mid engine looks great, but I'll bet the cockpit is rather noisy!!

I've yet to find a photo of the engine cover in place ( Not that much in the photo dept. ) but I'm hoping its well heat shielded and slightly noise deadened .
As much as I like a really loud , on the redline revving Hemi ,I'm not that into kissing one as I'm driving along , gold framed aviators , un-buttoned wide collared shirt & big gold chain a flappin' in the breeze at 175 mph through the Swiss Alps.....
I'll stick to driving a blown 392 front engined railer circa 1964 thanks !!! 🤦♂️

That belt ever breaks and you are gonna have some serious problems as it is aimed right for your head and upper torso!!! I blew one on the bosses 69 Jaguar XKE convertible doing 160+mph on a long Mojave desert road and it tore up under the hood pretty bad! Luckily we fixed it all before he got back from a vacation! He had left it in the shop for a tune up while he was in Hawaii and he never found out!!!
