It was brought to my attention that an increase in font size for the text on this forum might help those of us that are sight challenged be able to read the posts better. It wouldn't be a major increase. Don't want it to appear as if everyone is shouting! LoL I'll add a poll up top of this thread for votes. Feel free to discuss this topic here. Thanks!
After voting is finished, if an increase is chosen, the admin team will consider the best plan of action.
If you need to make it bigger to see all you have to do on a PC is hold Ctrl & hit the + and it makes what your seeing bigger. I'm sorry but I see no need to change it.
You incorrectly assume that everyone has a Windows PC. I know it won't work on my Linux laptops. I'm not sure if it works on Macs. Remember that there are other types of computers than what you may use. I happen to have my keyboard programmed differently than pretty much any other keyboard in the world. I have done it for very specific reasons. I can't change the programming just to allow for a Ctrl+ function to increase size. Also remember that using that function increases the size of EVERYTHING, not just the font.
You also assume everybody has great, or at least good, vision. I have trifocals and cataracts that need surgery. I'm not sure how many trifocal wearers are on the forum, or how many that have had, or need, cataract surgery there are, but those members will know exactly how difficult it can be to see on a computer screen.
This message was created using Font size 3. Surely this slight increase in Font size that is seen here isn't a deterrent to any members with perfect eyesight. Keith's other forum has the font size increased and I don't believe there are any members over there that complain. Perhaps Keith can tell us if he has received any complaints from his membership.

Marty, could you take an actual screenshot of the differences you have on those screens as opposed to taking a picture of it? I'm not able to see any changes very clearly. A couple of screenshots would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I am able to at least see what Joe is referring to by having "to scroll side to side to see everything". That is, in fact, the case. Depending on the screen size, screen resolution in use, and a couple of other technical oddities, one person that does the Ctrl+ trick two times might see everything just fine with all of it on screen, but the next guy who tries Ctrl+ two times might only have half of the content visible on the screen. Unless there are two, EXACTLY similar computers sitting side by side, with monitors that are EXACTLY the same size, and the users have the screen resolution set EXACTLY the same size, it's doubtful that what is displayed is the same.
That happens to be a problem with some webmasters. They create their websites on a particular PC with a screen the size of most TVs, and most of the guys are younger and have great vision so they have their resolutions cranked up to ungodly limits. They then hard code things like the width of tables and other items. Then when someone with a 15" laptop using a normal resolution tries to view the website, half or more of it isn't even on the screen. What they SHOULD be doing is using a percentage of total width to define tables and other items.

If we do as you say Marty we would have to change our settings just for this page and it throws off our settings for everything else we do on our pc where the fonts are bigger... this means a lot more steps to keep going back and forth... the larger font is well excepted on another forum I belong to by all members and works flawlessly.
You will also notice now that you increased that setting on your example Marty that you now have to scroll side to side to see everything as it no longer fits on one page. With Bucky's suggestion it all fits on a nice page with no side to side scrolling...
I only access via an app on my phone. Don’t size looks fine.
You are 100% correct. No changes like Font size here on the desktop version of the forum affect anything on the mobile, or phone version of the forum. They are pretty much totally different creatures, other than content. There are a whole bunch of things that are on the desktop version that mobile users never see. The only way a mobile user can see everything that is on the desktop version is to scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Desktop Version". If you do that, be prepared for very small type and very small everything. Unless you have REALLY good eyes, I'd advise against doing that very many times. LOL!
EDIT: Looks like your spell checker on your phone got you. It replaced Font with Don't. I just love spell checkers that assume too much. LOL!
