So this coming weekend I’m going to participate in a 24 hour build group on Facebook m. I’m going to try and build two models too! Got my workbench all cleaned off and ready for it.  |

Is it permissible to make advance preparations such as washing parts or something else? I'm sure I can wash the parts before hand and I know they allow you to glue at least 4 parts to the body before hand. |

Thought I’d share this info that was posted on the 24 hour build Facebook page.
How To Build in 24 Hours
Today, 3 Days before the 24 Hour Build
Inventory your chosen kit, check out the parts, wash your bodies in DAWN (regular) dishwashing soap...... the “Ultra Dawn” has ingredients that will cause “Fish Eyes 👀” in paint.
I take post-it’s, and write down the “two-fers,” two piece parts, this will set in my mind what goes together FIRST, and will probably need seams filled & sanded before painting.
I also highlight and make notes on the instructions where needed. Instructions these days will not be collectible.
Check to see that you have your safety measures in place, new/clean filters in spray booth, filters in paint respirator clean, lighting, food, drink ......... Debit Card tacked to “Do Not Disturb” sign on door outside workshop.............
On a side note, we are going “LIVE” on a Zoom Meeting this year, a cure for the “Covid Cabin Fever” we have all been feeling. We realize that this will be a bunch of modellers looking down at their workbench, but it will most likely get entertaining too! PreRun of the Zoom is tonight, see Peter Hays notes on how to “join” below.
