Dodge L-700 V12

My original L-700 thread has disappeared so I start this again. Everybody is building big rigs now but as you know I can't build box stocks and this is not exception.

Here frame is extended, some parts ready and engine partly made. Engine is Allison V12 V1710 (1710 cu in, 1600 hp)

Allison is big engine compared to Plymouth 426 Super Commando.

Front and rear wheels and brakes.

Making rear tandem axles using L-700 parts.

I found suitable exhaust stacks from Italeri "Truck Accessories" kit but I had to de-chrome them and put some putty to seams. Mud flaps are from the kit but supports are aluminium tube. Velocity stacks I bought from ebay years ago. I think this is starting to be what I thought.

Thanks guys.The original plan was to put on the platform two General Electric TF34-GE-400A jet engines used in the A-10 Thunderbolt. Maximum thrust is 9,275 lbf (41 kN; 4,207 kgf) / engine. There may be situations where grip is not enough

1x30mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon is not street legal. Sidewinder or Maveric missiles are not needed even in heavy traffic 😆

Al, this will be a flat bed car transporter. Jet engines belong to show drag truck. It was just an idea.

Now it's time to continue this project. I used Lindberg's L-700 Coca-Cola trailer kit when making the car hauler truck bed. The auxiliary frames are made of plastic bars and rods. General Electric TF34-GE-400A jet engines are used in another project.
