Preferably a 1955 era, though I think they may look the same a few years in either direction. Air cleaner design changed from time to time, '55 kind of hangs off the carb.
It's for the '55 Bel Air (replica of my Grandfather's car) I want to build.

hey, dont know if you are familiar with the kit, but will the 6 banger in the 50 Chevy pickup work. i have one, but don't know if the motor is there? if it is, and it will work, you can have mine. don't get your hopes up. i usually burn, mely, stom and cuss at anything with 6 cylinders.

I’ve got the 194ci Chevy 6 cylinder engine from a Trumpeter Nova kit will that work for you?

Appreciate you guys !
The 235 architecture has the distributor mid-block rt side, and I think the 1950 would work. Also has a prominent "road draft tube" (crankcase vent) forward of the distributor.
A Nova's 194 I think, has the distributor located near the front. Here's a photo of a '55 car version.

Not sure - see earlier reply. Think the architecture (dist) is different.

Here’s what I have. I don’t know where my directions are for it but the spark plugs are on the same side as in your picture.

Yeah, that's the later architecture, but probably workable. I see some stuff that would be handy. If Uncle Tubbs has the '50 version, that's probably as close as it comes, so I'll take both. Let me know $$ & address; you can email me at topside340@yahoo.com. If you prefer trading, I have a 426 Hemi (1/25, don't get too excited !) and some wheels & tires and God knows what else, let me know what you may need in that case.

Ok, uncle Tubbs has one. SUPRIZE, SUPRIZE!! Tubbs has 6 banger. Yes the distributor is in the center of the block. Problem is,it has a custom chrome valve cover. No stock one. I will try to get some pictures up.

Cool ! Royal Purple removes chrome like magic, but the stock cover shouldn't be too hard to fab. Or modify the 194's with some putty.
