AMT MACK R [Finished] 9/8

Just in the assembling components and painting stages. Dark blue body with red chassis and wheels. Not much chrome in this kit.

Nice start your colors are going to be sharp on this Mack. Are you going to make this a company fleet truck?

Al Mack painted there engines with the shiny gold paint.

Pretty much a fleet truck Mopar. Al, I know it is tough not being used to painting engines any color but hemi orange, Chrysler engine blue or red!

The chassis is pretty closed to being done. The interior is finished. I always try to start with a clean work bench, but I always seem to end up with the last 6 inches to the edge!

It is finished. I had a few fitment issues with this kit. The hood wouldn't close all the way because the grille would hit the radiator when trying to shut hood. I had to use my Dremel tool and sand a bunch off the radiator. Luckily you can't see it.The air intake tube was too long, and the bracket on the exhaust stack was supposed to attach to the cab, it was way to short! I just sanded it off. I also used the kit supplied CB antenna and chopped off the mast and replaced them with wire.

Thanks! You wouldn't happen to have a extra air horn the same as the one on this kit? I opened the pre dimpled holes on the roof only to find out the kit only comes with one horn. Maybe the Peterbilt wrecker.
