Moving right along on this build. I painted the body with Tamiya Racing White. The chassis is Tamiya Park Green. I am also painting the fenders, A/C unit, visor, and wrecker boom the same green too. As usual the directions are so so. They give the part number, but the parts trees are not numbered! Ugh! Luckily on the bottom of the kit box it has a parts layout and they show the parts trees with the parts numbered. And yes, Peterbilt did paint their engines white!   |

very cool. that white engine had to be filthy after a few runs. looks kind of strange to see a white motor. looks like you forgot to paint it. i asked myself, why didnt he paint the engine, then i read the post.
side note, i read these posts like i read a dirty magazine, i look at the pictures first, second, and third, then read the post.

Looks nice, like the colors.
Instructions sound like the ones for the L700 I built - lots of searching their photo, 'bout wore the paper out !

Getting there! Tractor is just about done. Now to assemble the wrecker body. I picked up this picture hanging wire for the tow cables.   |

Your Pete looks awesome! If you find that the picture wire is to stiff I’ve used this string or the fish line. I spray the white string silver they both work good just depends on what size cable you need.  |

Thanks guys! Pretty much out of the box. Only thing I did was to add wire to the CB antennae after removing the plastic one's.
