Dodge LS1000 Day Cab - FINISHED

I’ve finished my bottom dump trailer and need a cab to tow it now. I using a AITM Dodge LS1000 resin cab with a Frightliner donor kit for the chassis and engine. I’ve got the wheels painted and assembled the frame and engine so far.

Looks good so far but man to me that truck screams Detriot power not Cummins….lol. I wait to see more

Thanks Stace I appreciate your support. I was thinking about getting a Detroit but I’m trying to use up parts from my boxes of extra parts for this one and this is what I have.

i'd go Allison.... or maybe Chicago, maybe even a Palm Springs... lots of torque in those. as you can tell, don't know much about what i am looking at, but the builds coming along nicely.

Thanks Al lol. well your Allison would be a transmission and Stace is referring to the engine. Stace is giving me a Detroit Diesel engine to replace the Cummins Diesel engine that I have.

Stace has sent me a Detroit Diesel so the Cummins diesel is now a spare. I’ve been getting the frame painted and worked on the cab. With this being a resin cab the casting is thick and I like my windows to be close to the outside of the openings so I used my Dremel to grind the inside so my glass is now almost flush with the outside. Today I was able to get some yellow paint sprayed on. The white primer area will be painted black.

I want to thank Stace for giving me the Detroit Diesel with directions and getting it sent out quickly.
