Decided to tackle something different... Bucky sent me this wedge years ago and I have decided to add it to this 78' Dodge D100 pickup... here's hoping it works, ha, ha!!! The back duelies could be problematic... time will tell.

Scratch built a second rear axle and put the undercarriage on to see if this will work... yee haw... I like it!!!

Finished up that scratch built axle, springs and driveline to the rear front axle...

man you work fast!! looks good so far. Not always, ha, ha!!! Glad you like it so far. Just a matter of cutting off the back edges of the frame on either side that were behind the original single wheels so the second set would fit and scratch building a second axle, shocks and springs... my military modeling, extra parts I've saved over the years and clay came in handy there... Only other thing I needed was on the actual wedge. I added three cross supports across the bottom made of balsa wood to get it to sit flat at the right height... I painted them black... I glued them right to the bottom of the box. The rest should be just building the model oob and attaching the wedge... then lights and license plates..

looking good. i like the added touches. the opening doors are very cool!! one thing if i may, with those railings, once you get the car up there, you may not be able to get the door open, so i would scratch up a winch to pull the car up.
