Working on my AAR. Painted it B3 ice blue metallic. I still have to paint the hood, upper fenders, doors and rear taillight panel. Got the chassis almost finished. I still have to chrome the exhaust tips and add the shocks. This is just test fitting. Got the 340 ready to go. Decided to be a little different but correct and optional. B5 blue dash, console, rug and package tray with white seats and door panels.

I'm liking that a lot - nicely detailed, too. Funny, the B3 looks almost like B5 on my monitor, but nice choice regardless !

I like little details like this. The numbers are supposed to be light blue but unfortunately I didn’t have a gel pen in that color. So just used white.

How did you paint it?

I airbrushed it with my new Gaahleri swallow tail airbrush using DuPont reducer with the base color. Then cleared it with after a day of drying with PPG 2001 automotive clear mixed with hardener and 870 reducer.

Been working on the spacers for the rally wheels since I want to put on Goodyear Polyglas GT’s. In case anyone wants to use these tires I’ve included the dimensions. I glued the spacers in the center of each wheel so none of the tires interfere with the suspension. As you can see it works just fine. Now I have to paint the white lettering with a number 8 gel pen. I still have decals to put on. All the outside chrome parts. Wipers, bumpers, door handles. These are great kits but has lots of parts.

Oh I found I had to correct the upper radiator hose location because they included only the Hemi radiator. On small blocks the hose is on the drivers side. So what did was cut near the end of the hose that goes to the engine and rotated it 180 degrees glued it on. That way it faces the correct location.

Good info & a very nice build ! Lots of times I use electrical wire for hoses - bendable, and the wire inside locates the hose. Different sizes of course, for anything from radiator hoses down to brake hoses.
