I started this on a whim, because I turned up a Sox & Martin GTX in the stash. I have some reference photos of the restored Silver Bullet from the web, but if anyone has any period/magazine pics, they'd be welcome.
Not much to show so far. Torqueflite, cross ram and smooth valve covers are from the Revell '68 Dart and seats from a Lindberg A100.

Legendary Motor cars in Canada posted a video that I've seen, and a Google search for the car or Jimmy Addison should bring up a lot of photos. Hard part of that build will be the stretched quarter panels, but that's a really cool project !

Slight change of plan... I found some scans of a magazine article and there it had a Weiand tunnel ram with Holley Dominators, a Pro Stock hood scoop and Fenton wheels. I prefer that look to the restored version, so I've set about drawing the missing bits,to be 3D printed. So much for a quick build.

Some progress - I sprayed the chassis plate with primer, then blue overspray. Weathered it, then remembered I hadn't removed the Hemi torque boxes. Cut those out today and patched in the floor. I think I can get away with touching up and more weathering rather than strip it.
I also tackled the rear fenders... I cut out a box above the wheel opening, cut vertical slits either side, pulled out the lip and filled the hole with styrene sheet. it'll get worse before it gets better, but a few rounds of filling and sanding should do it. I'm well aware that it looks like hell at the moment. :/
Carb 3D model is nearly done. just needs the throttle and accelerator pump linkages. I needed a break from that, so working on the tunnel ram at the moment.

Made a little progress - printed the deep sump oil pan, tunnel ram, Fenton wheels and the hood scoop. The walls of the tunnel ram plenum were a bit thin and didn't make it, but that will be fixed for the next print. I tried to model the dented underside of the oil pan, as shown in magazine pictures. Had to make the hole for the tie rod a bit oversize to allow for the kit part's thickness... I could replace all the steering linkage with more in-scale parts, but I think I'll live with it: Tunnel ram fits, just needs a little tweaking to the 3D file. Rough mock up. These slicks scale out to about 30" tall. I might print some slightly smaller - not sure if they look a little too tall?

Lots of intricate work. I saw the Silver Bullet at the Woodward Dream Cruise once, but I didn't remember the flared fenders, the hood scoop, or the tall tires. Is there more than one version of Silver Bullet?

Yes, the cross ram was replaced with the tunnel ram in 1970. The Car Craft article was probably a year out of date by the time it was published. It ended up painted white, then the engine was pulled and the car sold separately.

A bit more done - printed the Fenton Gyro wheels ( 3 1/2" and 8 1/2") and tyres. Also got the tunnel ram printed without any thin spots. The engine is set back a little from the stock location; that's mentioned in the CC article and it looks about right here vs. the kit mounting points. Hood scoop is mounted, but still needs some more filling and sanding. Lastly, I printed the exhaust system. Might have to redo one of the mufflers if I can't make it look presentable. Next jobs are the rear springs - needs more arch and the axle seems a smidge too far forward, so I'll draw up some SS springs. Then the headers, which I don't really want to tackle, but the kit ones look way too wimpy.
