I’m getting back to my bench from a long absence and starting where I left off with this MPC Plymouth Cuda in 1/25 scale. I’m going to change out the engine bay, interior and chassis with the Revell 70 Cuda’s parts. Similar to my build up of the 71 GTX. It’s going to be painted with Plymouth V2 Tor Red and a White/ Black interior. Not much progress yet but this is where I’m starting. Your comments and suggestions are appreciated and welcome.

Thanks guys. It’s not a perfect match so I’m having to trim the chassis for it to fit but it’s just minor areas that need sanding.

Big difference in 70 vs 71 seat patterns, 71s being pretty flat surfaces, but a cool & improved build no matter what. I've got several old kits, but not enough balls to build 'em, haha.

I’m going to use the seats from the 71 MPC kit that has the correct seat patterns. Over time I’ve picked up a bunch of the old kits and always have had the intention of building them and improving them with newer parts with better details. This is my third old kit to to build with newer parts mixed in. After doing the first one that came out better than the original kit it’s easier to do more of them.

Seems like the best use for a Revell '70. I bought one, thinking it wouldn't be too hard to fix, but it's so bloated and out of whack, I shelved it. I have an MPC '71 to rebuild, so I'm taking notes here.

I’ve started building the engines from both kits just to compare the two of them. The Revell block is shorter than the MPC block and the transmission is longer on the Revell kit. I’ve checked too see if I can do the same change out with the MPC 74 Barracuda I have and it’s the same so sometime in the future I’ll be doing the same for the 74 but with the 340.
