Yeah this is the new MPC release of the Dodge Demon. I was thinking of just building this one straight out of the box but I had also picked up a extra Duster kit with Hobby Lobby’s 40% off with the idea of switching out some of the parts. Once I got started looking at the Demon’s parts and comparing them to the Duster I knew that I was going to have to change out some of the parts. So what I’m thinking I’m going to do is use the Duster engine, A frame, firewall, front seats and maybe the rear end and exhaust. I’m going with Bright White body Black vinyl top and a black/gray interior. So far I’ve started cutting in the A frame. As always your comments are appreciated and welcome.

Looking on with great interest. I have two Demon kits and a few Duster kits for donors, so I'll be taking notes.

Thanks Bucky and Joe. I’ve been able to get the Demon A frame removed and fitted the Duster A frame in. I also changed out the fire wall with the Duster one. I’m going with the Blue 340 that I will add the plug wires. I’ve removed the molded in drive shaft.

That's a commendable effort. That firewall has the old single-pot master cylinder ? The AMT Duster kits I have don't, they have the dual MC. Single MC went away for the '67 model year. It's a shame they molded in the driveshaft; Revell does such a better job.

Thanks Topside. I have not installed the MC yet I install it after I paint. I worked on the engine details and on the rear end and exhaust system. I was surprised to receive my paint today I ordered it 3 days ago now it just needs to stop raining here.

Looking forward to seeing that color. I don't remember ever seeing a white Demon.

Thanks guys I had already decided on going with white and then went on the internet to find 71 Demons and the first one I found was white with a black vinyl top so I’m using this one as my reference. bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-dodge-demon-5/

Started working on the interior by using the Duster bucket seats then I cut the arm rests and window cranks off the Duster and added them. I also used the Duster steering column plus I found a correct shifter. I also tested my flat clear Acryl on the black strip decals to see if I could remove the gloss on them and I’m satisfied with the results.

Thanks Joe.
I’m not sure how much more I can get done until the weather gets better for painting here. I still need to get the vinyl top prepared.
