1971 Plymouth Scamp “Finished “

This is a Heart’s Bandit resins body for the 71 Plymouth Scamp that is interchangeable with the Revell 68 Dart body. I’ve already started with Scale Finishes Dodge Black and using Duster seats. I’m missing a Scamp dashboard and not sure if there’s anything else that would work for me. I sprayed the front grill and back bumper with the Revell Chrome Spray and I’m impressed with how easy it is to use and the results.

Oh wow!!! This one blind-sided me!! I never even thought about a Scamp!! Looking forward to seeing this one rolling!! Is the dashboard not the same as the Duster's? We may hafta call Google in on this!! HAHAHA

It’s the same as the leaning tower slant 6 Duster but not the 340 and so the 68 Dart and Duster will not work but a guy over on MCM said that the Sport Dart has what I’m looking for and I just happened to have one in my stash and it will work. I already have checked with Google lol.

Google says it’s the same instrument cluster from 71 to 76. Looks like the same one my 72 Demon had and 72 Dart.

This is all great info for future reference! Thanks for posting what you found out. I owned a '69 Dart GT and a '71 Demon, but I could not have told anyone what the dashboards looked like from memory! LOL

Yeah, from '72-up Chrysler dropped the rally dash on A-bodies and went to the Valiant style.

For colors, options, trim, and specs - and a literally mind-numbing amount of info on '60s - '70s Mopars - there's a site called Hamtramck_Historical.

I've actually used that site to look up info for a 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible I used to own.

Thanks for all your help guys with the dashboard I just happened to have a Sport Dart in my stash and it looks like the one Dave posted and found some Duster bucket seats in my parts boxes. I’ve had to slow down on my bench time with going back to work. Here’s what my progress is.

I’m planning to try to get a little time in on the bench during the week and more time on the weekends. Here’s some more progress I was able to get a second coat of black sprayed on the body and finished the engine with wiring.

I was able to find some time over the weekend to get some progress on the Scamp. I sprayed a second coat of black on the body, some work on the chassis and the dashboard.
