Not sure what happen with my post above, but it's me "Stangfreak" who posted it...I'm a new member and I'm sure I'll goof up a few times before I learn my way around...LOL Several years ago, I got into learning how to make molds from RTV Silicone and cast pieces from resin. I started off with some 1/64th diorama stuff because it was smaller and a little easier to do. Then I began casting some customizing parts for the little cars. All worked out pretty good. My next step was casting some of the cool and good engine parts from a few select 1/24th kits. That was also going well until I got that cancer crap. To be able to cast larger dio parts like tool boxes and tire changers, you have to do something called "Two Part Molds". I think I have a good understanding of it now and am about ready to try it out. I know I don't want to goof it up cause that silicone stuff or the resin isn't cheap...LOL

It's funny how when you build a building for a diorama and then It's never finished. The building will be, for the most part, but everything else seems to stay fluid.

Superb dio pics . I've got to have a go at doing my own casts . I have lots of AHEM "English Ideas" for dioramas and car parts in all scales . Old Corgi / Matchbox at the moment . I have the 'two part' liquids 1 big / 1 small , and plenty of 'weekly medication boxes' - ideal size compartments for some 1/24 parts , and just press out the molds when set & off you go . I presume.... Haven't got as far as the resin bit yet .
A.D.D. One day I'll finish somethin

I've always heard that a diorama is never truly finished....just like RL (Real Life), things can change! I have four dioramas, and two of them I could call finished, but they could see some changes, if i really thought about it.
