Here are some really cool shop dio accessories I found in a hobby shop and also made from spare kit pieces... A tire changer and spin balancer in 1/24th scale. These were found in a hobby shop by a company called Hobby Gear. I made this engine block to have seen better days. It was all painted up pretty, then I smeared black craft paint all over it, then wiped it off with a soft cloth. KInda gives it a greasy look. Same with the transmissions.I buy allot of this modelers styrene plastic. It comes in all shapes, sizes, strips, and sheets. You can make about anything you see in a real shop or garage with this stuff!!! It's awesome, and Testors model glue holds it great!!!Work benches are easy to make, and spare kit parts add to detail...I find this water based craft paint works great for dio pieces. It comes in every color known to man and easy to work with. After it dries I spray the pieces with a matte finish clear cote to protect the paint from chipping...

I just bought several bottles of the "Apple Barrel" brand paint at my local Walmart. Picked up several colors of flat that will work well for some interior cloth. I also grabbed two different bottles of gloss orange. I looked at the color in the bottle and one of the two has to be really close to engine Hemi orange. I haven't checked to see which one yet, just put the stuff in the man cave and left it. Just walking in that room right now gives me chills. There are pots and pans everywhere! I'll be glad when the new counter top is installed and done!

I've seen some Dirty trannys on another site ....... and your ones are much nicer on the eyes !!
I sometimes use the Games Workshop/ Warhammer 'Roll Playing figures' amazing acrylic paint washes and colour schemes , like "muddy brown" & "Orc Blood" ( dark green , obviously! ) to name but a few.
I've been using evergreen tubing / rods & sheets for a couple of years now , wonderful stuff to gently warm up in my hands and gently curve into shapes for dioramas . Love the diorama pieces BTW
