quick 69 Barracuda build up. (update 3/18)

[Mopar Charlie]

Had parts for Barracudas all over in my way. Instead of boxing them up I applied some paint on one of the bodies and grabbed the parts and cobbled this one together. I had originally had the hood painted with the body. I found two areas around the scoop with bad flaws and one scratch in the hood. I took the hood, stripped the paint, put some putty around the scoop, sanded it down, then wet sanded the entire hood and applied the now correct color.

I did one of those as well. The crude chassis and engine bay killed me, so it was a basic build with just a Hemi swap.

Thanks, agreed on that chassis. Pretty ill fitting, molded in nonsense, and just brings down the whole model. That's the story with mine, big Hemi, nice paint. The rest? Nah!!!

Thanks Stace. It was either throw it together or stick it all in the box with three other Cudas. Gonna foil it, clear coat it, and get the body done up.

Decided to plow ahead and finish this Only a few more things to do and its done.
As much as I hate these chassis I decided to finish and detail it for the build.


Scratch Built Looms,




Scratch Built Distributor and cut to fit wires,


The looms painted and installed.
Still 4 more to paint and install.


Distributor now on the dual quad Hemi.


Foiled the body. Just a few things left on the body to do.


Finished redoing the old interior.

Thanks. Check it out when I have all six looms on. They are easy make and much easier to handle than photo etched. I still have to make a cool and make my real rubber radiator hoses and wire up the battery and everything under the hood is done. Should have this car done by the end of the week.
