I thought every A body kit except the Hemi Dart kit came with a small block. nope, most of the darts come with a 440 or hemi. I don't think any of the 68, 69 darts even come with a small block. |

Don't think so Al!!! Never seen a green HEMI.....you must be going foreign Stace not sure what you mean? is the block in my BIG BLOCK avatar green? that's fine. I still count 8 cylinders. |

Some good news. I had forgotten about the 69 Barracuda that was building with the fuel injected small block from the Dustaer street machine kit. If we do go the way of an A body small block I am good to go.

If we do go the way of an A body small block I am good to go. well, I can guarantee one thing... it will be an A-body build-off, so you are fine. sounds like an interesting project.... and remember to replace that chassis. that blob in that 69 cuda is horrendous to say the least. |

Certainly will replace the front end. The amt duster chassis is a poor fit under the Barracuda body though. Apparently the Revell darts fit much better but don’t have the funds to buy another to carve up.

The inner fender section I carved out of the AMT Duster body put this one over the top!   |

Have done the same as you with the front but found the rest didn’t fit at all well. Will go back and have another play though now that you have made it work.

I am officially out of the build off. I will be going in for major surgery on my bad leg near the end of the month or the very beginning of June. Waiting to hear from scheduling. My little shop of horrors will be closed most likely for the rest of the year. This surgery is very painful, longer recovery, longer therapy. Not looking forward to it as it messes up all my summer activities and instead of having fun im going to be dealing with therapy, pain, and depression. Have fun with the build off guys

Only A-body I have is Valiant 2D HT '65 resin kit (promo style) but it needs correct chassis and engine (273 HIPO). I asked Motor City Resin Caster parts and Jeff promised to sell them from their '66 Barracuda kit. MCRC manufacture all kits themselves and they can sell parts too.
