Been awhile since there was a build off. I know there has not been much activity overall and in the past interest was low, I never entered one myself! Maybe it's time again. There is a bunch of talented craftsman showing builds on the site. Howzabout a nice A Body build to kick the build offs into gear? Just saying???

Argh... I'm doing an A body for another build off. Just started tonight. Well, you are on your way then. You can show it in both. Myself, I had started a a body build for an online contest just for the banner picture and mine was excluded because it was not included in the list of a bodies. So I stopped the build for awhile but could finish it up in a week for a contest. |

I wouldn't mind another buildoff, but my record for running these things isn't too rosy. I would be game to try to push another buildoff onto you guys. it can be a A body buildoff. just keep it simple, like ....

Al, easier is better. No rules, no limits. ANY A Body, 63 to 76. From junk to Pro Mod and everything in between. Not looking at the car as much as the craftsmanship, creativity, and work that went into it. It could be any numbers of things. Just make it a simple banner picture winning for 30 days kinda contest. Maybe if enough interest is generated then maybe another contest with more specifics can be done. Time for all of us to start rubbing elbows again. It's been a long cold winter. |

OK, been thinking about this. I have 10 in progress right now, so if we start something, it will not be till at least the end of the month, not being a dictator or anything, sorry. we can keep the talks going. I am all game for that. I have a few plans for some dusters, darts and cudas.
well, looking at the calendar (and not looking outside, friggind 30 and snowing) I just realized its the 17th already. I can see a tentative start date the middle of the month so people can plan things out.

ok, question, would everyone be ready to start an A-body build-off by Mothers day? that is May 13th. what rules there will be will be forthcoming.
a couple ideas I have in mind...
monster motor A bodies.... kidding
something like...
building a real A-body (the build must replicate a real car)
or
kit-bashed A-body (build must have parts from a least 3 different kits)
or
race day A-body (what you would be going to the Saturday drags with) this one is kind of limiting.
I don't want too many rules, just like a guideline type of thing.
