So a while back I saw that Joseph from Fireball Modelworks made some Multi piece Chevy rally wheels and I sent him a message asking if he would do the some for the Mopar rally wheels as it would make detailing them a lot easier. At the time he told me it wasn’t something he had thought about doing as there were a lot of those wheels out there. Well guess what! He changed his mind and is going to be making them!!! Now I’m sure I had nothing to do with it, but I’ll take the Credit anyways!! 😁😁👍🏻

This is what he had to say about these wheels.
I'd like everyone to know that there will be 1/24 and 1/25 versions, and two different center cap styles. There was actually a 3rd type of center cap used, but it's similar enough to the late style that I won't bother with it. For now, I am only making a 15x7 with 4.5" bolt pattern. The difference between the 4" and 4.5" patterns can't really be seen in these small parts. I might make a 14x7 version if there is really a need. I expect to have the sets available for sale around the middle of July. Thanks very much for your support!

very cool, but who uses them anyways. factory stock has nothing on a nice set of aftermarket rims. he should be making 15x15 centerlines.

Uh, I think there are more than enough after market rims on the market already. All you need to do is look at any online hobby shop's wheel selection. Pegasus has probably 40 different sets of aftermarket wheels, each set uglier than the next.
There is a ton of room for more stock wheels. I see more requests for accurate dog dish caps for 60s cars & period correct wire wheels for 50s cars than any other thing.

yea Steve, I was just pulling peoples chains on this one.. we, or actually most of you guys can use some detailed stock rims. funny thing, more mopar musclecars left the dealership with magnums, rally's and deluxe hub caps than dog dish. but you hit a show and the majority of the cars have dog dish. I think its beginning to be a fad to run them. remembering back in the day, you only got dog dish when you were really trying to save money, or you were yanking them off as soon as you got home to put aftermarket rims on your new car. and aftermarket rims were more expensive than the magnums.

my hemi road runner came from the factory with dog dish rims, I kept them on the car in the early 80's and EVERYONE said they look like crap!! now, they are the BOMB!!! funny how things change. seems like the less options a musclecar has on it, the better.

You're right, poverty caps were what some people opted for if they planned on switching out the wheels right after they bought the car, and most people did think that they were ugly. I think their popularity today is due to the fact that a lot of guys that are restoring their Mopars want that true, bare bones, straight off of the showroom feel. They're going for that stripped down, "this car was purchased solely for racing" appearance. I've never really been a huge fan of them either, but they have begun to grow on me for when I'm trying to achieve that "pay no attention to the exterior, take a look under the hood" vibe. I think they have become kind of a macho thing.
