I haven't had time for much modelling lately but I did experiment with some Createx and Future for paint jobs. Here are two projects that I have started. I am not that impressed with acrylic paints for models and will go back to nail polish for the next ones.

I know a lot of people using Acrylics, folk art paints with great success. I haven't tried it and I have to agree, they look like my paint jobs. although I have never had that much success with nail polish either.

Here is my most recent work with nail polish. I used automotive urethane clear over.

I agree acrylics don't adhere very well to model surfaces. I tried using them and am not convinced. I prefer enamel but also use lacquer based paint (duplicolor, nail polish paint). As long as you have a good sealer they work very nicely. Now every time I buy hobby paint (model master) I make sure it's enamel. It's takes longer to dry but is much more durable.

The Future cracked over the Createx so I will try another coat of Future and see of that fills in some cracks. Still not impressed with water based paint.
