I need a little help with BMF. On models with the little vent windows. Whats the best way to foil that area. Everytime I try it comes out looking like crap! Any help would be nice. Pictures or videos on how to do it would be nicer!

I used to try to wrap small pieces of BMF around those tiny posts. Not easy for me! Since the Molotow pens have come out, I use those on the vent wing parts.

I have the Molotone markers. Just dodnt feel like the look between the foil and the marker would match

For my experience with the markers, it seems to be really close. In fact, I have used my marker to touch up a few unfortunate rips in my BMF applications! It works for me!

I use several different pieces on vent windows. one across the bottom, usually to incorporate the trim along the top of the door & part of the lower windshield trim, one across the top, (if necessary) incorporated with the side window trim, one for the A-pillar, and one for the vent post. It has always worked well for me. The key is to take your time and be very careful. Too many people want to rush the process & just slap it on leaving all sorts of wrinkles and the like. If you take your time, you will be hard pressed to see any seams and there will be no wrinkles. There is no magic bullet. It just takes patience.
This is the '60 Imperial that I'm working on now.

Nice chrome work on the Imperial! What did you use for the stainless section on the top?

Nice chrome work on the Imperial! What did you use for the stainless section on the top? Very simple. Sanded a section of foil while it was still on the backing sheet & then apply like any other foil.

I like that method. I may borrow that, someday.

Thanks for the heads up guys! Been busy with other stuf. I foiled the front windshield on my ‘70 Charger and started the back window. I may have to strip some and start over, got wrinkles in it. Thanks again
