Can you still use old 60' licence plates with old cars? Or are they upgraded new ones?

here in the states, you can have "same year" plates put on and have them legal. lot of paperwork, but the answer is yes.

I think it has to be from the state the car is registered in, though. I live in Tennessee, and I have a set of original, pristine condition Michigan plates from 1968, but I can't run those on my '68 Imperial.

Here in Ohio you can register your car as a historical vehicle and use your Year plate on your car but must keep the historical plate in the trunk. I run 72 plates on my 340 Duster. Like Bucky said they must be from your state and in good condition.

As long as you just drive it to car shows and cruise ins and parades and not a daily driver.
