ok guys, I took the liberties of taking what we discussed and putting it into some rules and here they are.
1) the build must be a pre-50's build.
2) can be any model or make of vehicle.
3) MUST be mopar powered. (yes, that includes 6's. almost left them out.)
4) can be build anyway you want, rat rod, stock, hot rod...
5) can be a started kit, glue bomb, or a rebuild, but must be a total teardown.
6) official start date will be Christmas day (I have a lot of time off at that time).
7) finish date will be April 1st (3 months).
8) as usual, make a folder in this section with your name and your build.
9) tubs MUST complete this build or not touch another project on his bench until he finishes his 6 cylinder challenger ragtop.
please feel free to ask any question you want, its pretty clear what you all have to do. start planning.

This is a perfect opportunity for me to get started on a rebuild of resin cast 48 Chrysler Town and Country that I have planned to re-do and change over to a pro street.

Al, unfortunately, I have real trouble getting regular, "normal" sleep. Some days I might only sleep 2 or 3 hours, some days I get 8 hours but it's interrupted every 2 or 3 hours, and occasionally I don't get any sleep in a 24 hour period. It's a real pain in the butt, for sure.
The problem has been compounded recently by my VA healthcare. They decided to just refuse to continue prescribing my opioid pain medication. I've been struggling with withdrawal symptoms along with increased pain for the past week. Going "cold turkey" from Morphine & Hydrocodone after taking it for 7 or 8 years is pretty rough. When it hits me bad, my skin crawls, I get jumpy, and I'm irritable as HeII. The wife has indicated she'll be really pleased when this is over. LOL!

I just turned 59 and have no real health problems. I know they are coming. do what you can my friend... on a side note, it's nice to hear someone else get beat up for once. hehe.....

Not trying to dampen the spirits on the whole "build off" thing, but it seems the monthly contests have generated a whole lot more activity and involvement. That's just an observation from a guy who sits in the back of the class and never raises his hand.

that's what I thought too. not dampened. some things work, some don't. I will fire it up for the next one... if I can find what the next one is. I believe its big rigs.

Sometimes, a build-off can take quite a while to complete, for various reasons. I have found that if there is no definite end date, there seems to be more participants.
