Man I have had a few of them. There was my old 66 Dart GT that I drove for almost an hour with the temp gauge buried in "H". I didn't want to stop in fear it was not going to restart. Got to the bottom of the off ramp and the oil light was flickering and the motor knocking. Made it home and drove it up some ramps and let it cool down. I changed the oil and fired it up and she was quiet as a mouse and no oil light. This engine had over 200k on it. Ended up having a clogged radiator.Eventually I bought a engine off a friend from 64 Plymouth with @ 50k but rusty, and I put it in the Dart. Another friend had a Dodge van with a slant 6. Hanging out with a few buddies, one said to him, "the engine sounds noisy you should check the oil". Five quarts later it was reading full!

yea, they also had the chevy 350 as #1. what are they basing it on? it gets all screwed up at #2 with the hemi. they went from very plentiful, low cost, cheapest to repair, everyone has one to one of the most expensive, hardest to tune, rough idling, everyone wants one engines out there.
