I had somebody tell me that Walmart carried lacquer spray paint. We were there tonight and I looked at the offerings they had. The only lacquer paint I saw was Krylon Fusion. Has anybody tried using that on a build? Is it worth giving it a whirl? They had a kind of limited selection, but happened to have a satin finish black. That might be just the ticket for the paint job on the '41 Plymouth I'm working on, or was before we moved half the kitchen to the man cave anyway. If anybody has tried this stuff, let me know what you think. At $4.97 for a 12 oz can, it would be nice if it worked. I went ahead and picked up a can of the satin black and a can of a really great looking red called Gloss Red Pepper. So what's the consensus? Yea, or nay?  |

I've never tried it but if it where me I'd find a chunky piece of sprue and give it a whirl. I would start off lite at first though.

I've got 4 or 5 kits that I ended up with that I'll never build and nobody else wants. I'm thinking about grabbing the body out of one of them and trying Fusion on it. This stuff is supposed to be a 2 in 1, primer and paint. I might just wash a body and start in on it. I won't be losing anything if it goes south on me. I was just wondering if anybody else had ever tried it.
I did do some online searching for the stuff to see what colors I could find at what price. I found several places that had it at ridiculous prices, then found that Lowe's has it listed at $4.98, I believe. They have every color that Krylon has listed on their site so if my experiment works I'll probably order a few colors to have on hand.
I'll post up my results after I give it a whirl.

OK. Managed to get little sleep. I found a few of the kits I'm not going to want to build. I know there are at least a couple more somewhere in my stash. Just couldn't locate them really quickly today. Didn't feel like digging through stuff right now.

Sure. I had just given up trying to trade or sell any of them. I had them listed on a couple other forums and never had any interest.
If you have an interest in anything listed, just make me an offer, either to trade or buy.

Sorry, I've been a bit "off" for a bit. Then spent yesterday tinkering on the Petty Dart. Feels much to better to have gotten some stuff done. I am interested in the '74 if you don't make a deal with Al.

Well, I don't have a set deal with anybody at this point. Not sure what to do with you two guys. You asked for the list, but Al was the first to mention the '74. Maybe I should leave it to you two guys to decide, or let the members decide who has "first rights". I don't want to slight anybody or tick anybody off. And I'd prefer to NOT have an offer from either of you until we've ironed it out. I don't want to lean towards either one of you based on what you have offered, if you get my drift.
Anybody want to step up? I'll abide by whatever you decide.
