I stopped at the LHS yesterday for a can of Tamiya TS-18 Metallic Red and I noticed signs in several places of the store saying Testors is eliminating their line of automotive paints. I found a sign on one Testors paint rack (LHS has many racks of paint) stating that Testors is eliminating this particular rack of paint and it looked like is was all enamel paint. I prefer lacquer paint for its pigment and quick drying qualities. I searched Testors website and I couldn't find anything about Testors eliminating any paint and the guy at the LHS didn't seem to know much about it other than that paint s going away. I guess the store owner put the signs out and he had little info as well or he is not telling anybody much about it.
Does anybody have any concrete information about this?

I have a lot of trouble with TESTORS spray can oozing sticky stuff out of the bottom of the can. It doesn't seem to matter how old the can is, either, or whether it's lacquer or enamel. So much for storing paint for later projects.

I tried searching for discontinued Testors paint using every combination of search words I could think of. I found where a couple of colors were discontinued in 2015 and then in 2017 there were several Model Master paints discontinued. I didn't turn up anything recent.

I just went and reached into my paint drawer for a can of Tamiya paint and I couldn't remove the can. I pulled the drawer out and I had a brand new, never opened can of Testors paint leak all over the bottom of the drawer. I sent Testors a nastygram complaining and demanding a new can of paint from them to replace the defective can that I have! Quality seems to be an afterthought!

I've had one Tamiya can do that, too.
