Ditto. Seems like it took a little while for this contest to get rolling, but there are sure some great looking builds now. This is going to be another tough one to vote on. Great looking rides, guys.

The story on my car. I always wanted a 340 car. My big brother bought one back in the day for 3000 out the door b5 blue with blue interior. My pops lent him the money to get it. I remember going to the dealership to go get. It was a beautiful car and it stayed with me. Years later after moving here from Puerto Rico and going many times to the Mopar nationals. I told the wife I want my car. And one day I came across this 72 Duster 340 that was from Virginia for sale here in town. Oh it needed restoring but was mostly rust free. I purchased it in 91 for $2000. And since the school where I worked had a body shop I asked my principal boss if I can work on it after school. And since the shop teacher did care it I parked it at the shop I slowly worked on it over 3 1/2 years. I had the body plastic media blasted and got it to the shop. I ended up totally taking the car completely apart to the last nut and bolt. By 1995 I finished the body work and paint. And took it home to put together. With the help of a few friends and my wife by the end of that fall we got it finished. I drove two weeks until the weather prevented me to. We have been very lucky with the car at shows. In 99 we placed first at Carlisle. In 02 first at Norwalk. And first in 05 at the Mopar nationals. We also appeared in a TV show called American muscle car. These days I drive it summer to the local cruise ins.

Good for you, Ed. I really wish I had done the same thing. I'd love to have a carbon copy of my '67 Barracuda.
Great looking ride. And by the way, my Barracuda was a 340 car. I loved that thing.

Most of the autos I've owned were never offered in kit form. Some of the kits that were offered have become major collector items, and command premium dollars, if you can find one. I do have some kits of vehicles from my past, but I haven't built them, yet.

As far as I'm concerned the 340 was the best small block ever made by mother Mopar. It runs great with plenty of horsepower and isn't a gas hog.
