images.app.goo.gl/Hp8Pp2ASiVEhVPrx9As far as I have learned. This is the only factory painted Superbird painted burnt orange metallic. All other cars not painted the seven standard colors are repaints.

OK. Thanks for giving the info the way you did. It's exactly what I'm wondering about. The photo of the cars indicates that only 7 colors were available, but the color charts you posted indicate 18 to 26 colors were offered. That's where my question comes in. Not that I've seen a 'Bird or a Daytona painted in any of the standard colors, but it at least looks like all the colors on the charts were available. So, could a guy have ordered a Superbird painted Cordovan Poly or Bahama Yellow? I’m building all 7 of the factory available colors of the Superbird‘ and from my research there was only one factory ordered in a non-factory color and it was the deep burnt orange. Which I plan on building as well as the one Graveyard Carz did with a hellcat hemi in it.

I've pretty much decided to build a total of 7 Superbirds & Daytonas. I'm then going to paint them the 7 colors. If I've managed to finally get it right in my head, both the Superbirds and Daytonas were available in all 7 colors. The only real difference is the name of the colors in each of the camps. I might go ahead and do an 8th car in black.
If I'm wrong about both cars being available in the 7 colors, somebody set me straight.

Some of those colors on the 1970 Superbird were not available in 1969, the only year the Daytona was built.

And some colors available for 70 did not exist in 69. Check and compare color charts.

Yep. I've been trying to compare the color charts. I'll have to watch which car gets painted which color, but I'll still be able to accomplish 7 cars painted 7 different colors. The colors not available in '69 will have to go on '70 Superbirds.

I ran across this color chart for the high impact colors. Thought I'd share it for anybody that is interested.

I found it on maxwedge.com. Here is the link: maxwedge.com/articles/highimpact.phpBy the way, from this chart at least, it would seem that EL5 - Butterscotch/Bahama Yellow would have been offered on Daytonas & Superbirds. Is that correct? I like the color pretty well but don't recall ever seeing a winged wonder that color. I can recall more than one Duster in that color and like the way it looked. So, was it available or is this just a case of a high impact color chart listing colors for Dodge & Plymouth cars OTHER THAN the winged wonders?

no, that color chart was for the high impact colors offered and what years, not models that those colors were offered on.

I think in theory you could have ordered a Daytona that color. And it would have been coded 999. But I think it would not be normally ordered by dealers. Since I have never seen one after searching on the net. That color I think was available on the 69 six pack cars the Roadrunners and Coronets.

OK, guys. I'm getting the idea. So as far as painting them then, if I stick specifically to the 7 colors on the "car" color chart that Al posted with the Superbirds, I'd be correct. Then if I painted my Daytonas the remaining colors on the "car" color chart I would also be correct. BUT, if I wanted to paint a Daytona one of the other colors offered by Dodge that year, THEORETICALLY I'd be correct. So If I choose to paint a Daytona black or one of the colors on the chart I found on maxwedge.com, like Butterscotch, it would be OK.
Is that about right?

if you are going to build 7 'birds and Daytona's, you should get real familiar with this site. this link will take you to the table of contents. www.wwnboa.org/toc.htm
