Nice color coat!! I've never heard of using a terry cloth for blushing. I'll keep a note on that.

Keith, in the case of this Coronet, I knew that if I used something stronger like Novus #2 or Meguiars Scratch X, I would have burned through the paint especially on the edges of the fenders. Based on my experience with Dupli-Color paint and high humidity, a simple buffing with a terry cloth towel removed most of the blushing.

Good to know. I use Duplicolor paint quite often.

I like Dupli-Color paint! Get a lot for the money and it is easy to spray.

I like Dupli-Color paint! Get a lot for the money and it is easy to spray. I like duplicolor too. goes on nice and thin, covers well and I never have a problem with the cans not spraying. at the local shop, they are up to $12 a can. yes you get a lot, but I have this thing about painting 2 builds the same color, except black. I could paint every I build black. so therefore, a lot of cans sit around.

The two colors I don't like to spray are black and white. I find them hard to lay down and look good.

With all the masking done, I went and painted the roof of the Coronet with Tamiya TS-14 Gloss Black. Three coats of paint and it looks great! I'll let this dry and clearcoat the entire body with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear. More Foose Coronet to come...

Thanks guys! I really like this color combo. Like I said earlier, I have not seen this model built as the 1:1 car and I am trying to do that with this build. This model car is more than just an R/T! It's actually a Coronet 440.
