I stated in another thread that my taste for MOPAR body styles had "matured" over the years and I have developed a real liking for certain "B" body MOPEs. As I've search the 'Net finding photos of various cars to use as inspiration for my builds, I think I've decided that my favorite "B" body is the '70 GTX. There is no doubt that the head honchos at Chrysler/Plymouth styled the car to be "The Gentleman's Muscle Car". I ran across this offering just a little while ago. I've never seen a '70 GTX in this color, but I like it a lot. I know that at least a couple of you guys choose the second gen Charger, especially the Charger 500 as the best looking. What about everybody else? What particular "B" body floats your boat? Any other '70 GTX fans out there? This first shot is just fantastic to me. A real gorgeous looking machine.

It's very hard for me to narrow it down to just one favorite "B" body. I've owned several from different eras, and loved them all!
My first car was a 1966 Dodge Coronet, and I've owned a total of three thru the years. A 1975 Dodge Coronet, 1976 Dodge Charger Sport, and 1976 Chrysler Cordoba have also graced my driveway.
I'm a diehard MOPARITE, but have never owned a Plymouth. Things just didn't work out for that! LOL I do like the '68 GTX a lot, and the '73-'74 RoadRunner/GTX.
I also like the looks of the '71-'74 Charger. I would also take a '66-'67 Charger.
See what I mean about it being tuff for me?? HAHAHAHA

I had a '78 Cordoba. It was ice blue with a white half vinyl roof (what were those called?) and pure white guts except for the blue carpet and dash. Loved that car. Wrecked it pretty badly and it was gone. That thing rode like it was on a cloud. Even though it was a late 70s motor it still had plenty of giddy-up.
I'm not entirely sure what the real name of the blue paint was. I just always called it ice blue because it was such a pure, shockingly beautiful, blue color. I kept it highly waxed and it just sparkled.
But I still think the '70 GTX is the better looking ride. 😉

Is this the color of your Cordoba? One color chip I found called it Cadet Blue.

Yessir! That's exactly the color. Put a white Landau on it and white guts and that's my car. Ain't that a great looking ride? When it was all clean and highly waxed, that blue just sparkled at you.

I’ve owned two B bodies. A ‘68 Charger, and a ‘69 Bee. The Charger looked cool all around, but the sail panel blind spots sucked. I’m more of a Super Bee fan. But I’d prefer a ‘68 Super Stock Dart to any B body.

One of my '66 Coronets looked like this one: This is not mine. I borrowed this pic from WWW!

I test drove one like this: It had Magnum 500 wheels, and a 400 in it. It ran out of gas on the test drive, and I had to call the dealer to come get it. This was back in about '76, so it was only three years old. I didn't buy, but kinda wish I had.
