My 1/18 Diecast Goldenhawk was delivered an hour or so go. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the box. It seemed heavier than most of the 1/18 diecasts I've ever held, including the ones I have purchased recently. Upon unboxing it and looking it over, I'm pretty impressed with it. The engine is detailed at a level that will require no modifying. It's plumbed and wired pretty well. The trunk includes a mounted spare with bumper jack and lug wrench. The windows roll up and down. The interior is really well detailed. The seat backs fold and of course the steering wheel turns the front tires. Although I'm not really concerned with the chassis details since I'll ultimately be displaying it in an enclosed display with hood down and doors shut, the chassis isn't bad at all. Yeah, I could improve it a bit so I'll make a decision on that whenever I get to it.
As for problems, I noticed there is one, very small blemish on the off white paint I'll eventually have to try and match. The spot isn't much bigger than the head of a straight pin. The biggest noticeable glitch is an exorbitant amount of toe-out. That is going to require a little disassembly and work. Even if I decided to leave the car as is, I could easily display it with the passenger side out and the right front tire in line. It's a great looking little car.
I thought I'd through this out there in case anybody might be interested in owning a good looking Goldenhawk. Keep in mind that this one is a Road Signature. I noticed while browsing the different offerings for these cars there are at least 3 different manufacturer's and the others do NOT have the amount of detail this one does. If you have any questions, holler.
