What is the best way to put decals on the tires?
Clearcoat over the decals or clearcoat under and over the decals? I have Tamiya semi gloss and gloss clears. How about Testors decal bonder 9200 over redline decals? |

I tried to put the decal directly on the tire but the decal did not stick. Then I brushed a light coat of Future first and when it has dried I put the decal. When decal has dried I brushed Future again. It seems to work.

Thanks for the info Sportabout. I have never used clear on decals on tires, but I only have used white wall decals once. They were the Revell ones in the '69 Charger, and they went on really nice as I recall. lol

I have some of those decals for tires. I'll pay close attention to what they do when I try to apply them.
