I received my 1/18 Road Signature '57 'Vette gasser today. I did a quick once over of it. Overall it's a nice diecast. The engine and engine compartment detail is a little disappointing, especially after seeing the detail of "The Machine" and the Stude Golden Hawk.
It will still make a really nice "curbside" diecast to display. The body is excellent and the interior detail is very nice. The only issue I see is that the wheels need some attention. Maybe a wash will resolve that.
That leaves me with only one real decision to make. Do I leave the flames or repaint the coves? I'll roll that around for an extended period and deal with it later. LOL!

leave the flames, flames are cool, if done right.

I watched a load of old gasser videos on YouTube today. I happened to notice that there were several with flames of some sort. Maybe I'll leave them on the 'Vette.

I would if you are keeping it a gasser.

Oh, it's going to remain a gasser. Or maybe a Street Freak is a better description. The side pipes say "not a gasser" to me, but rather a street machine.
Not sure if I'd want to remove the side pipes and go all out gasser with it. If I did I'd probably then try and add some decals like class designation, STP, Hooker, Edelbrock, etc, etc.

If the flames are applied straight and smooth, I'd leave them alone. I see vintage cars around here from time to time that have flames.
