Yes, you read that correctly. Unless I missed it, and I'm known for that, nobody brought this up when Steve was building his W-30 Olds. I happened across this by accident. It sure opened my eyes. I never knew about the W-30s, let alone a '68 Barracuda. Did everybody else know this? These things are RARE!

If you read down in the second post. It says these were an option so that snow and other crao wouldn't build up in the wheel well. The guy said it was a $50 option. That's a pretty heafty price back then. The ones on the 442 were standard, and it was the actual wheel well, not an insert. I never heard of these either. Pretty rare little option.

Somewhere I read a blip about turning the MPC '69 Barracuda into a '68. I have no idea where I read it. I recall that I found it when I was first trying to find a way to get a '67 notchback. That was before I accidentally ran across the resin notchback kit I bought. I'd probably never be able to find that article again. I'll leave that master modification stuff to you gurus.

They were available on some Pontiacs of the era as well. Front and rear.

Do you know if those are the actual inner fender, or are they just liners like the ones on the Barracuda?

Do you know if those are the actual inner fender, or are they just liners like the ones on the Barracuda? My understanding is that they were liners and not actually plastic inner fender wells as in the front of the 442s.
