Just in case you've never seen one, Here is an article about the Minneapolis Moline Model R. One of the "selling points" of this tractor was that the farmer could use it to drive into town to take care of business. They actually had a road gear in the things that made them faster than any other tractor out there. The pitch was that the farmer could just use the tractor instead of getting the car or truck out. Yes, I've driven more than one and unfortunately, one of them was while I was still a kid working as a farm hand on neighbor's farms. I never liked the thing. It was awkward and kind of top heavy. You had to be sure and slow way down to turn, even in the filed. An oddity, to say the least.

And by the way. That article talks about opening the windows to let air in. That's a total crock. With all the other glass in that cab, it absolutely cooked you in the summertime.
