Thanks guys!
Just doing a little test fitting of the Hemi in the Coronet.
So far, looking good.
Think I've decided to go with the automatic on this project.
Just to be different, I'll do an auto on the column with the optional center arm rest/buddy seat in place of the console.

I felt a little challenged by a member in a Facebook group when he suggested that being as I had the "kick down" bracket on the carb linkage assembly, why not do the whole thing to the transmission.
Okay. I'm up for a challenge.

Beautiful work Steve. I have a lot of experience installing and removing 727's and that one looks spot on. I know you are good friends with the owner of Holly Grail Resin but there is a guy in my neck of the woods who does some great resin work and has a fantastic 727 and some other Mopar parts. His shop is "action-modeler scale model resin" action-modeler.com/?v=7516fd43adaa if you are looking for some sweet Hemi aftermarket valve covers or transmissions go check him out. His parts are always very clean and well cast.

Thanks guys, and thanks for the link Eric.
I think I have all that I need at the moment, but I'll keep that in mind.
Spent a little bit of time in the shop today just trying to get a handle on how I want to do the carb linkage. I think this is a good start.

Thanks guys!
A little more progress, this time with some paint as well!
First, I did a little more scratch building and threw together a fuel filter and fuel splitter.
Next, I shot the valve covers with some black primer, and then shot a little clear from a distance to add a little of the "crinkle" finish look.
Then I commenced with the Alclad finishes for the other engine parts, including "Pale Burnt Metal" for the carbs, "Dark Aluminum" for the transmission and "White Aluminum" for the tranny pan, as well as some other parts.
The exhaust manifolds were done by starting with "Dark Aluminum", then adding some "Exhaust Manifold" to the "hot spots" at the head and tail of the manifold, and then the whole thing got a shot of red primer from a distance to help simulate rust.
The fuel splitter got a little Alclad "Pale Gold".
The engine block and corresponding parts are also in orange paint, but they are in flat paint at the moment. I'll do some detail painting and then clear coat for gloss later and then add pics.
All of these parts will get more "character" with some grime later.
