This is my 70 Dart. It started life as a slant six/auto and now has a 360/727 auto. I always liked the hood scoops and added them to my car. It was a 5 year build since I live in north Idaho where it gets too cold to work in the shop during winter. I did a complete tear down and rebuild. Engine, trans, and the differential gear case were sent out for their rebuilds. Front and rear bolt patterns were changed to 4 1/2" circle for my favorite wheels. Front mopar disc brakes with GM based master cylinder and booster. It all fit very well, only had to make one brake line. Added Hotchkis front sway bar and bigger torsion bars, rear axle changed to 8 3/4 with 3.55's, leaf springs are mopar heavy duty. Power steering box was rebuilt by Firm Feel. I used Legendary interior seat upholstery and door panels, headliner from Classic was installed by a professional (I didn't want wrinkles!) as was the front and rear glass. Paint and body work was done by me with help and advice from friends with experience. Car was from so. cal. and body was in excellent shape with only 73,000 miles when I bought it. There was very little body repair to do, mostly filling in the holes from the rub strip down the sides and the vinyl top trim. The gap where the roof is welded to the body has many hours of work in it as it is a compound curve. Rocker panels had a small amount of rust poking through, so patch panels were welded in. I had to buy a wire feed MIG welder and learn how to use it! That was a fun and satisfying experience. Also I now have a PhD in sanding........... Here are enough pictures to give you the idea.

Very sweeeet ride! Blue is my favorite color. I had a brown 71 swinger it was a 6 too. Had it for two weeks until my nephew fell in love with it and I let his pops buy for him for what I paid. He drove it everywhere for two years until one day some lady ate the stop sign and he t boned her and destroyed it. I remember him crying at the hospital. Not because he was hurt but because he totaled his car.

Thank you all for the positive vibes. Finally got it on the road last spring, she runs great and I'm happy with the outcome. I will probably put only 1500 miles a year on it, going to shows and car club stuff. She hibernates in the winter with her roommate 2014 Challenger R/T.

I have a ‘15 Challenger Scat Pack and a ‘69 Super Bee, so I get the hibernation concept. Pretty much November through April. Spring is always a mess in New England.

Beautiful end results! Must be a blast to drive! I had a '69 Dart GT in the early 80's and I drove that one everywhere!
