Johan 1963 Fury.

I originally received this as a poorly built kit. Someone had cut the roof off and made it into a convertible. Unfortunately they cut the top of the windshield frame with the roof and just left the "A" pillars.I cut one off from a junker Mobius 65 Plymouth kit body I had and molded it in. I polished the scratched up windshield as best as I could. The chassis and drive train are pretty much out of the box Johan. I did remove the molded on distributor and added one from the parts box. The wheels, hubcaps, antenna, and rear view mirror are leftovers from the Mobius 65 Plymouth too. Convertible boot is from the parts box also.Oh and the visors were trimmed from a windshield from the spares box of course.Paint is Rustoleum.

That is a slick Plymouth! Sorta looks like Petty Blue on the color, one of my favorite shades of blue!

beautiful. nice save. dont see the ragtops very much. now, its a beautiful build, but you know how much better it would be if Johan put just a little more time detailing the motor and chassis as they did in the bodies?!

That was always the gripe with the Johan kits. That is why they were so cheap back @ 25/30 years ago! Still got a bunch of them I bought then. Now they are crazy $! That is why I don't display them upside down!

Yes, the bodies are excellent! And some of the kits did have decent chassis and interiors.
