I started foiling this afternoon. I started with the hardest areas to foil. The wheelwells, rocker panels and the rear taillight. The wheelwells alone took me almost an hour to do. I keep hearing Heart and their song, Barracuda in my mind! More Barracuda to come...

nice. the car and the song!! man, you are really getting me anxious to get back on mine i started back in the stone age. who knows, maybe i will end up down in the model cave tonight. hats off my friend!!
on a side note. long ago there was a cover of Hearts Barracuda done by the members of Alice in Chains and sung by Gretchen Wilson at some sort of music awards show. it has got to be one of the best renditions of this song ever!! plus i am not a live music type of guy, but i highly recommend looking it up on Youtube sometime. i am a fan of Alice In Chains but never really heard of Gretchen Wilson, she can belt out a song and is pleasing to the eyes.

Thanks Al! Having built the '69 Barracuda years ago, I wanted to make changes that suited me better. I like the '68 better than the '69 and this was an opportunity to try my hand at some of the changes I would like to make. I just need to finish the bodywork and Bare Metal Foil and put everything together. Years ago, I used to volunteer for the American Red Cross Disaster Service for a few years and we would cover dance-a-thons over the Labor Day weekend. The song Barracuda was played often along with Paradise By The Dashboard Light by Meatloaf and after a while, I liked Barracuda better.

Thanks Al! Yes, another almost done. I am trying to clear the bench of a few projects before I start a new one. I just bought the Revell '29 Model A Roadster and I want to start on it right away. Along with the Revell Impala SS snapper, AMT Mustang GT, Yodel San Diego Police Car, Revell '68 and'69 Corvettes and on and on...

It's getting there! I started adding the valances and bumpers. So far the rear is done and the front is being worked on. If there is a reason why I don't like old AMT/MPC kits, this is one of them! I have been stressing for hours on the grille and front valance since they don't want to fit correctly! More Barracuda to come...

The more I stared at the front of the Barracuda, the more I hated it! I just don't like the poor fit of the grilles and the open ends of the lower grille header. I tore it all apart! The grille header will have some shaped styrene added to the ends and I will try to reshape the grilles and the grill header for a better fit! And, I thought I was making progress! More Barracuda to come...
