I have been working on the hitch and trailer connection. I’ve added some steel in the hitch to make sure it will hold up with the trailer weight. I’ve also figured out how I’m going to build the upper deck on the truck. My spare parts from the Haul Away trailer are coming in real nicely. Here’s today’s mock up and test fitting.

just a side note, i applaud you and your dust trail stripe on your 70 road runner. you don't know how many i have seen that start at the scoop way too high and runs straight. for those who don't know, the 70 dust trail stripe starts at the center of the scoop and runs uphill, yes, uphill over the front wheel well to the front of the car. i don't quit remember the measurement on the distance from the wheel well to the stripe, but at 1/25 scale, you can pretty much eyeball it.

Thanks Al it’s been a few years since I built the rr but I do remember it was a challenge to get the dust trail to sit right. They are Kieth Marks decals on the JoHan rr with the 68 AMT rr chassis.

Heck yeah on the open rail car ! But that could lead into the train hobby...

That rail car would be about 4’ long in 1/25 scale.

I was able to get some black paint sprayed yesterday on the frames and yellow on the cab and trailer. I’m using Scale Finishes paint and have more yellow on order. There’s a lot of yellow paint on this build. lol. I’m going to be working on the upper deck on the truck next to get the remaining 2 cars on.

Today I started on the upper deck on the truck. Still need to add the front supports. I’ve also got some more details to add to the main section to.

Is the decking above the cab a pre-punched material ?

Thanks Topside yes it’s PE deck plate.

For the most part I’m done with the truck part of the hauler. I’ve reworked the front supports moving them out past the head lights also added more braces and a ladder. I know that the convertible Challenger with the top do is not what you would see on a car hauler I’m just using it for now as a place holder until I build one of my other 70’s Mopars. I’m not sure yet which one I’m going to build to replace the convertible.

now your just showing off! posting pictures of super rare kits that I don't have in my stash!! kidding. just cause i am a big fan, i would do the 70 runner. not a big fan of 70 chargers...but, there is a gentleman who's name escapes me now, on a Facebook group that built a 70 charger that just blew my socks off. I need to get a 70 charger and duplicate this build. yea, I know, and its STOCK!! what the hell am i thinking!! anyways, my second choice would be the 70 charger. here is his build.

Today I finished the engine and worked on the exhaust stack.
