Autocar/Challenge Transit Mixer (Finished)

I’m starting my new company Super Bee Transit Mixing and this Autocar/Challenge Transit Mixer will be the first of at least 3 trucks in the fleet. I’m using the Autocar dump truck kit and the KW Challenge Transit Mixer kit. Of course I can’t just build it straight out of the box so I’m going to have the Autocar truck with the Challenge Transit Mixer on it. I’m thinking a white cab and mixer with sublime green fenders and frame.

Those colors will be cool. Looking forward to seeing the mixer on the Autocar.

Thanks dge467 I’m also going to use my Super Bee logo on the drum and maybe some black bumble bee stripes.

doesn't it get expensive kit bashing these kits? really none of my business, but i know these aint cheap. just cant imagine having parts sitting around like i do for cars. first off, you need 3 times the room.

Al over the years I’ve been able too pick up a good collection of truck kits so the expense is behind me now plus with the kit bashing I’m doing there’s not much leftover. With this build the KW will become a tractor towing a lowboy trailer and the dump body is going on a Mack DM 600 with a steel hood so in the end everything is used. With my last 2 auto transporters I was able to free up 2 book shelves with 13 cars on the 2 trucks.

I’ve been able to finish the frame and have it ready for the sublime green paint.

I’ve been able to get some more details on the frame and painted the Super Bee Bumble Bee strip on the drum. Still needs some clear coat.
