Who makes a good 1/25 15 x 8 steelie to fit the Fireball poverty caps ? Guess a 15 x 7 would work, but in full scale, 8s just look best to me.
I don't think I have any in another kit.

Found something close at Fireball - duh - FMR 084, FMR 085 - and 2 deeper ones are part of FMR 088. Sent him an email to see what I need to do.
Geez, I'm as wheel crazy in scale as I am in 1:1 !!!

wheels are the statement on the car, i feel. changing those changes the whole look of the car. i have a few sets of the Fireball rims. really nice stuff. its also cool you get the Dodge AND the Plymouth ones.
what rims did you find that match up well? i really like the Johan ones but they are 14's, i believe. i know they are small.

The deeper ones from #088 (above post) are 9". I emailed Joseph @ Fireball and he'll actually make 8" as well. So I'm buying the #085 and 4 of the 9" and 4 of the 8" and covering all the bases, so to speak.
Now all I need is someone to make correct '68 Plymouth dog dishes...

Did you mention the '68 caps to Fireball? I'd almost bet he has those on the drawing board.

I've mentioned them to a couple of guys, but don't recall who; one of 'em was pretty crabby about it. You're right, though. I'll send Joseph an email. I can't be the only one wanting them, can I ?

Nah, not likely. I'm fairly sure Al has use for a few sets for his '68 Belvidere, slant 6, 4dr Taxi builds. LMAO
HAHAHA! Merry Christmas Al, you crusty old Grinch you!

Can't quite tell from that photo but I've seen pics of that cop car and the caps were something else & not accurate. They should look like this.

yea, they dooooo..... kind of..... sort of softer in the middle. dont have the peak that the real ones do. big think is they don't look anything like the 69 caps. someone long ago did those caps in aluminum, really nice and not expensive, but that was back in the good ol days. i am gonna so some searching.

Hmmm, not bad; the shape is kinda flat, but the shine is nice, more legit than anything I've been able to get from paint. Joseph @ Fireball does want to make some but sounds very busy just keeping up with his existing stuff. says he's 3-4 weeks out, so with mail nowadays, I'll probably see the stuff in January. He is gonna add the 15x8s to his line.

I'm all over the place with the cars I have - from 33 street rod to 55 Desoto to 68 Jeep, to 79300. They all have very different wheels / tires and personalities. Getting them right to fit the car and look you want can be a challenge at times. Attachments:
