I’ve been working on this on and off for awhile. I finally got it cleared a few days ago. I had to strip it twice because of that testors clear that’s supposed to work with all there paints. Got the chassis close to finished. The Hemi is installed. The interior is finished. I’ll just wait until the clear is dry so I can rub and buff it out.

Nice Ed are you going to put a strip on the back or the one that goes on the side?

Nice work! I guess it's a Revell kit from some of the details. I can't tell if it's supposed to have a vinyl top or not, the way the light is hitting the body.

Nice Ed are you going to put a strip on the back or the one that goes on the side? Yeah I plan on the white rear RT stripe.

Oh - I forgot to mention that I also had a problem with the Testor's clear - it was their "wet look" can - but it was over MCW lacquer, which I had baked & let dry for days & wet-sanded for a nice surface. Mostly it came out fine, but in some contours it kind of foamed up, for lack of a better description. Initial shine was very nice, but in the end, no better than the catalyzed Nason automotive clear. I might try it again on a test panel.

I used model master Sublime enamel and it didn’t like it. A friend gave me a can of testors high gloss enamel clear unfortunately they don’t make it anymore and it worked perfectly. I have plenty of PPG automotive clear concept 2001 but the stuff really stinks up the house so I won’t use it during the winter here.

Always use enamel clear over enamel or lacquer paint. Only use lacquer clear over lacquer paint!
