Not sure what had happened, but the doorlines have been painted over and now for a little polishing with some Novus 2.

Thank you Al! Minis are front wheel drive, although Wayne Carini of TV's Chasing Classic Cars was once seen driving a Mini with two engines. One front and one rear and all wheel drive!
