My newest project is the M-B AMG GT. I've had this kit in the stash since 2017 when I went to my first NNL East show in Wayne, NJ. This is planned to be a box stock build. My paint with be Tamiya TS-16 Yellow with a Tamiya TS-65 Pearl Clear.    More AMG GT to come... |

Thanks Joe! I have really liked the upgrades Mercedes has made to the AMG GT. The more I look at them, the more they seem lower to the ground! Even the race cars look great! My next project after this will be a lowly Dodge Caravan!

WOW!! i like that yellow, i have to admit, i never heard of a Mercedes Benz AMG GT. it amazes me how fast you guys work. you just started that less than 2 days ago! crazy...

Thanks Joe and Al! Al, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT has been around since 2014 and is the Formula 1 Safety Car used at race circuits around the world. This all might be a little above your head, but I like to broaden my horizons. I would like to build one model a month if I can and I might be able to do it. If we can build the engine and trans in one day, the entire model can be safely built in a month. HPIguys builds his model in a few days for Model Roundup when they send him a sample kit to build. I'm not trying to be like him, but I do have a bit of a stash that I want to get through before I die.

I had stripped the wheels of chrome in prep for some Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black paint. The grille and the exhaust tips got a coating of Tamiya XF-1 Flat Black and taillights got a coating of Tamiya X-27 Clear Red.    More AMG GT to come... |

Al, what and how you build makes you a different kind of builder. Don't ever forget that! Just because you don't build at a pace of 1 an month doesn't make you any less of a builder. It just makes you unique.

The President of my Model Club gave me this Gravity Tri-Coat Solarburst Yellow paint for a good price. Thank you Paul! I didn't have any Gloss Black Lacquer paint, so I used Testors Enamel Gloss Black paintI hope it doesn't let me down! I painted the chassis with Tamiya Matt Black. Now to let this all dry.    More AMG GT to come... |
