Another older build that was in need of some new photographs.
A Johan 1960 Chrysler New Yorker in "Iris" and "Lilac".

Beautiful New Yorker Steve. Do you know if JoHan had a 1960 and 1961 Chrysler 300 letter cars kits? That's an interesting question.
The short answer is no, but I do have a 1961 Johan Chrysler New Yorker box with a listing of available kits on the side.
Notably, it lists a 1961 Chrysler 300 convertible, '61 Plymouth Fury convertible, and a '61 Dodge Dart convertible, none of which were ever produced.
There is also a '61 Rambler American convertible listed, which I don't believe was issued either.
There are one of a couple of explanations for this.
Either Johan had intentions of producing these convertible kits in '61 and did not for one reason or another, or the listing on the box was describing coming 1962 kits so that the overall box design could be used again the following year.
I suspect the latter, but I like to think that we were a mere hare's breath away from getting a 1961 Chrysler 300-G!
